“Okay! Dare.” She grinned. Brittany always chose dare, because truth was something she had no problem talking about so no one gave her good ones. But dares… Once she streaked, once she hit on someone’s grandpa, she even got caught spraypainting her name and still got away with it.
“As long as it doesn’t hurt my ribs.” She amended. “I miss dancing.”
Dani thought for a moment before nodding to herself. “I dare you to find the day old food items in your fridge, blend them all together, and drink them like a milkshake,” she grinned mischievously.
Quinn thought about a question to ask for a moment. There were a lot of things she didn’t want to know about. “How old were you when you got your first kiss?”
Dani chuckled lightly at the tame question. “I was ten and he was a cute boy in third grade,” she shrugged and smiled. “Who’s up next? Britt?” she asked, looking around at the group.
“I-I’m fine,” Quinn told Santana and Brittany. “Let’s just keep playing.” She looked around the circle, wondering who she should ask. “Dani, truth or dare?”
Dani was massaging Charlie’s shoulders to calm her down from the dare she’d had to perform. Deciding not to cause anymore heart attacks for the foreseeable future, she chose the less adventurous route. “Truth, Q-Tip,” she said with a smirk.
The frown and pout that formed on Daniella’s face only evoked a reaction filled with love from Charlie. “Awww Dani doodles,” she cooed, placing even more soft kisses on the other girl’s cheek. “You’re so cute and adorable and I love you lots and lots and what we have is special.” She could easily tell that there was a struggle to not smile happening directly in front of her eyes. It made Charlie’s heart melt into a puddle of goo at how heart achingly cute her girlfriend can be at times. The gentle stroke to her cheek caused an involuntary light sigh to leave her lips. “I love cuddling with you at night. You’re so warm…” she said dreamily, her mind drifting off to the clouds. “And waking up to see your beautiful face. You’re like sleeping beauty.” Her cheeks reddened at the words as soon as they were ushered, Charlie feeling entirely embarrassed with herself.
The theater wasn’t packed. In fact, there were just a few people scattered among the front rows closer to the screen. The pair practically had their row and the back rows completely free – which was probably for the best, considering Charlie liked to conduct running commentaries whenever she watches movies. “Ooh, I think the trailers are starting now,” she whispered as the lights dimmed and the curtains were pulled apart, making the screen bigger.
Dani blushed heavily at Charlie’s words. “Shhh…Chuck. You can’t call me that in public! It’s so embarrassing, Babe,” she moved to covered her girlfriend’s mouth with her hand. The blonde was extremely lovable and she’d do anything and everything for the woman who had her heart, but cute names in public were just too much. When she released Charlie’s mouth and listened to her explain her feelings, Dani’s heart melted. “God, I love you, Char. I’m nothing like Sleeping Beauty in the morning though. You’ve seen me. I look more like the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. You’re definitely the beauty though.” She chuckled, whispering the last few words in Charlie’s ear.
She loved the way Charlie smelled. It always made her relax and just be happy. Everything about Charlie made her days better. Her infectious energy, her stunning beauty, her impressive intelligence, and her soft heart. There wasn’t anyone like Charlotte Fabray and Dani knew how extremely lucky she was to call the woman her own. Gently, she wrapped her arm around the blonde and began lightly stroking her fingers through blonde locks. When Charlie whispered about the movie, she simply nodded and continue to get enjoyment from being close to the woman who held her heart and soul.
Charlie fumbled around with her bucket of popcorn and Fanta Orange as the duo entered the theater and headed up into the seating area. “Oh yes definitely. You should be worried,” she teased, sticking her tongue out in a playful manner. “If Gwen Stacy just so happens to come into the real world, I’ll be running off with her. You can have Peter Parker.” She fell back into her seat and smoothed her dress out, making herself comfortable. Dani’s hand came in direct contact with her own and Charlie instinctively curled her fingers into the other girl’s. “I love you too,” she whispered gently back, stretching over to place a tender kiss on Daniella’s rosy cheek.
The movie hadn’t exactly started yet, nor the trailers, so Charlie took it as a chance to stir up some conversation. “Are you… enjoying living with me?” she asked, eyes wide with curiosity. Her tongue ran along her bottom lip to moisten it. Even the blonde could admit she’s not exactly the easiest person to get along with. “I mean, I’m having fun living with you! Like, tons of fun. I can’t wait until we live together in New York…” A breathless sigh left her lips. The ability to go to sleep in Daniella’s arms and wake up to be wrapped in them still was something Charlie would never be able to get over. It was magical.
“Oh, I see…” Dani frowned and pouted. “I guess I’m just not good enough for you, huh? Here I thought what we had was special, but I’m just a placeholder until you can get Emma Stone into bed. Well then…” she playfully crossed her arms and turned away from Charlie. It was hard not to smile when she felt the blonde’s lips on her cheek. It sent a shot of warmth throughout her entire body. Just one look for Charlie and she’d melt. It still astounded her just how strongly she felt for her girlfriend. She couldn’t even believe they’d moved in together, but so far things had been progressing smoothly.
Hearing the question coming from Charlie just after her thoughts had strayed to the same place made her turn her head quickly to look into the eyes of the girl she loved. “Yeah, I am. I get to go to sleep with you every night. How could that ever possibly be a bad thing?” Dani smiled and lifted her hand to stroke Charlie’s cheek gently. “I can’t wait to live with you in the city either. You’re going to love it there. Definitely a place for someone like you with tons of energy.” She chuckled and shook her head.
Charlie gasped incredulously, gently slapping her girlfriend’s arm. “Daniella!” she said in a breath, bringing her free hand up to giggle into it. “Now is not the appropriate time to talk about those kind of things. I meant something like stuffing my face with popcorn or slapping your hand over my mouth.” She allowed herself to melt into the nice gesture, leaning her head into the crook of the brunette’s neck momentarily. However they were soon bumped to the front of the queue, causing Charlie to pull away briefly. “Hi! Can we have two tickets to Prometheus please?” she asked politely, a grin content on her face as the guy behind the counter stepped over to the ticket machine. A lightbulb clicked in her head and then she remembered. “Oh! And can we have the medium popcorn too? Sweet. Aaaand two drinks.” The blonde turned back to Dani. “We can’t get salted because salted popcorn is wrong on so many levels.” Swiftly enough, their drinks were in front of them along with the tickets and popcorn. Charlie dug into her bag to grab her purse, giving the guy some notes. With popcorn and drink in tow, she led the pair of them over to the screening. “Do you think they’ll play The Amazing Spiderman trailer? I love it so much. Gwen Stacy, yuuum.”
Dani chuckled and shrugged. “I can’t help it that you’re so extremely addicting that I constantly want to have my wicked way with you. Besides, stuffing you with popcorn is just not as fun and I’d rather cover your mouth with something else,” she winked and grinned salaciously at Charlie. She let her girlfriend purchase the tickets and snacks grabbing them and heading to the theater beside the blonde. It was nice to just watch Charlie get excited and talk about the things she enjoyed. Dani loved how animated Charlie would become and it made her smile.
They entered the right theater and made their way towards the seats. “I have no idea what they’re going to show, but is there something you need to tell me? Should I be worried that I’m going to lose you to a comic book character?” she joked, picking the seats and setting the drinks in the cup holders before sitting down. When Charlie settled beside her, Dani grabbed her girlfriend’s hand and laced their fingers together. “I love you, Char. Thanks for the night out. I love just spending time like this with you, Princess.”
Charlie’s face drew a wide smile as they continued their pace towards the car, but hearing the beginning of those words tumble from Daniella’s mouth had her stop dead in her tracks. She was…her home? Her smile faded, locking her eyes with sparkling ones to hear more of what she had to say. The raw honesty and sincerity could have made Charlie cry. Well, her lip was already quivering of its own accord. “Baby…” The nickname fell so naturally from her mouth. The blonde wanted nothing more than to hug Dani and never let her go, not ever. Wrapping her arms around her, their bodies pulled flush, Charlie pressed light kisses over her face. “You’ll always be safe with me, no matter what.” When Dani ducked her head, Charlie cupped her chin, forcing her to make eye contact. “You’re my home too. I love you so, so much, Daniella Mason-Berry. Forever and ever,” she bit her lip to refrain from grinning so widely her face might just break. She allowed their lips to reconnect in kiss filled with passion and love, in an attempt to elevate the mood to a jollier one.
The theater wasn’t located too far from their apartment building so it only took a matter of minutes before Charlie put the car in park a little down the street from the main doors. On instinct, she walked over to the passenger side to open the door for her girlfriend. She threaded their fingers together again, adjusting her messenger bag strap with her other hand. “I think the movie starts in like 5 minutes but you know that the trailers last at least 30 minutes so we should be fine!” she said enthusiastically, meeting the front doors. “And may I add that you will probably have to silence me because I will be fangirling the whole way through this.”
Dani heard the term of endearment spoken by Charlie and allowed herself to be pulled into the embrace. She nuzzled her face into the crook of Charlie’s neck. “I don’t ever want to lose you, Char…” she squeezed her eyes shut and buried her face further into her girlfriend. A few deeps breaths full of Charlie’s scent helped calm her down before the blonde took her chin. She stared into the deep hazel of Charlie’s eyes, relaxing and melting into the kiss. Charlie was her everything. Somehow the blonde had managed to mend her broken heart and piece hear back together after almost three years of desperation. There was something special about the Fabray twin and Dani would give her life to see that Charlie always had a bright smile on her face.
Once they got to the theatre and Charlie decided to be chivalrous, she couldn’t help but chuckle. “You know that you’re kinda adorable, right?” she smiled and shook her head slightly, following the bubbly blonde as they made their way to the theatre. “I’m sure we’ll make it on time. I also have plenty of tried and true methods for silencing you, Princess. How appropriate they are for a movie theatre is a totally different discussion.” She laughed lightly and tugged Charlie to the line up to get the tickets so that they could head into the theatre. She wrapped her arm around Charlie’s waist, gently rubbing her girlfriend’s side as they waited. She couldn’t help but always want to be connected to the girl beside her.
Charlie bounced on the spot, feeling jittery with nerves. “It does sound kick ass. I mean, come on, it has Michael Fassbender in it and Charlize Theron. I have the biggest man crush and girl crush on those two,” she sighed dreamily; those two would have great looking kids together. “But they pale in comparison to my Dani.” Leaning forward she nuzzled their noses together before leaving a soft kiss on the other girl’s lips and pulling away afterwards. Finding the floor with her feet once more, the blonde swung their laced fingers, allowing herself to be moved in the direction of the doorway and out into the hall. “I’m glad we’re doing this. I missed date night! I missed it a lot,” she said to make conversation as they headed for the stairs and began to descend them. “I felt like we hadn’t been on one in quite some time so I thought a trip to the movies and a nice dinner would be great for us.” Coming up to the front door of the apartment building, Charlie stopped dead in her tracks. Her free hand wrapped around her girlfriend’s waist, spinning her to face the blonde, giving her the chance to steal a kiss. “I couldn’t resist,” she smiled brightly, stroking Daniella’s cheek with her thumb.
Pulling out of their embrace, the blonde held the door open for the brunette. Slipping her hand into the other once again, Charlie gently walked them over to her car. “Still excited for New York? It must be great going back home again.” She truly had no idea what it must be like to be in Dani’s position - moving straight from the Big Apple to small Lima then suddenly returning home again. She knew the move to New York was going to be tough on herself; the move to boarding school had been at first. The door of the car clicked, signalling it was open and Charlie lowered herself into it. “I hope the line isn’t long because I didn’t preorder the tickets… I should have brought my lightsaber to bat the nerds away,” she started laughing again, fiddling with her keys to put them in the ignition. Once in, with a twist of them, the car started. Reversing out of the parking lot, Charlie pulled onto the main road.
Dani just smiled as Charlie gushed over the cast of the movie. She loved how carefree her girlfriend was and it always made her heart melt seeing the blonde get so excited. Smiling into the kiss, she pulled Charlie in for a gentle embrace. She just needed a moment with the woman she loved in her arms. Following Charlie out of the apartment, she nodded along at what the blonde said. “Yeah, it’s nice to just go out with you for a quiet night. Your idea is definitely appreciated, Princess. You know I love spending time with you in any capacity,” she squeezed Charlie’s hand as they walked through the lobby.
Feeling Charlie spin her around, she smiled into the kiss and nuzzled her girlfriend’s neck. “I love you so much, Chuck…” Dani wrapped her arms around the blonde and closed her eyes tightly, willing away tears. She wasn’t sad, just overwhelmed at how good Charlie was to her. How could she not give her entire being to the blonde when she felt so complete? As they walked to the car, she couldn’t help stealing glances at her lover. “I’m excited, but…Char, my home is wherever you are. I’m…not trying to be cheesy or anything. I love Rach and my dads and of course my parents in New York, but…you make it all worth it. You make me feel safe. You’re my home…” she ducked her head and frowned at how dumb it all sounded, cursing herself for her stupidity. “Don’t worry about the tickets. I’m sure we’ll get in, okay?”
Spreading her clothes out across her bed, Charlie inspected each and every article laid out, trying to decipher what one would be best for tonight. It was Saturday, in other words, date night for Daniella and Charlie. Her giddiness and excitement was proven only to be fuelled even more at the prospect of spending quality time out with her loving girlfriend. It felt like forever since they had been on a date, what with everything that had been transpiring. Graduating high school, moving into an apartment together and soon enough they would both be whizzing off to New York together with all of their friends - it was entirely surreal, a whirlwind of events happening nearly simultaneously.
Her eyes locked on a beautiful striped dress, her mind instantly made on her decision. Throwing it over her, she pulled the dress down and slipped her feet into a pair of black flats. Blonde hair fell neatly past her shoulders, perfectly curled at bottom. Lightly the blonde applied some make up; a bit of lipgloss, foundation and a touch of mascara to finish off her minimalist appearance. ”Daniella I hope you’re ready cause we’re going out like right now,” she chirped from the bedroom as she spun once in front of the mirror before nodding with great approval.
Skipping out of the bedroom, Charlie gently leaned the door over and hopped over to the couch to where her girlfriend was waiting. Carefully she snuck up beside her, bending down and craning her neck to lay a few kisses on her cheek. “Hi beautiful, ready to go yet?” she whispered as she plopped herself down on the couch too. “Also, I think we’re going to go see Prometheus. And then I’ve got the restaurant table booked and everything is covered,” she giggled excitedly, shuffling in her seat.
Dani waited for Charlie to finish getting ready. Her girlfriend had told her that they’d be going out and she had taken some time to change into a decent pair of jeans and a nice tank top with her leather jacket for when the night turned cooler. Things had been great so far. They had started living together and so far everything was just fine. Sure, Charlie could be extra perky in the mornings and she watched Pokemon and other weird shows on TV, but it was stuff Dani loved. She wouldn’t change her girlfriend for anything.
Hearing the blonde call out to her, she chuckled and ran a hand through her hair. Charlie was such a ball of energy and sometimes she felt like she couldn’t keep up. She was a dancer, but her personality was more laid back. There was no doubt she’d enjoy the evening with the girl she loved though. Spending time with Charlie never got old for her. Dani just hoped that by the end of the night, she could lay on the couch with the blonde in her arms. It always highlighted her day when she could just be close to her girlfriend. It never hurt that it often led to more pleasurable experiences either.
“I’m ready whenever you are, Princess. Sounds like you really planned it all out. I think it will be a good night,” she smiled up at Charlie and pulled her in for a gentle kiss. “You know I’m happy as long as I’m with you. Besides, Prometheus sounds like a pretty kick-ass movie and I loved the Alien movies.” She smiled and laced her fingers with Charlie’s. Giving her girlfriend one more light peck on the cheek, she stood up pulling the blonde to her feet and leading them to the door. ” Have everything you need, Chuck?”
From their first kiss in this room, Charlie knew that kissing Daniella Mason-Berry was definitely going to be one of her favorite activities. Acting on instinct, she immediately kissed her back with great fever, raking her nails over the lines of Dani’s abs, eliciting a humming moan into the other girl’s mouth. She could only nod as her girlfriend’s hands resided just on the surface of her pants. It calmed the butterflies that were jolting in her stomach, how relaxed and how reassuring her magnificent girlfriend was about this. Her virginity meant everything to her, after all, she was constantly reminded to save herself for the night of her wedding day. But this… this was perfect. All she wanted was to lose it to someone she was crazily in love with, and she had found that person.
It was deceiving how casual Dani made that question sound. It wasn’t that simple, it was a heavy-loaded question, the ‘make or break’ kind. Lightly brushing her girlfriend’s bangs out of her face, she gazed deeply into her eyes as she curved her lips up, her heart practically skipping each in between beat. “I am completely and entirely in love with you. You’re beautiful, you’re smart, you make me laugh constantly… if I feel down, just seeing your face—God, it makes me feel better instantly. I feel safe with you, I can be completely myself,” she continued to ramble, letting everything out. “You encourage my silliness! You defend me if people call me mean names and you’re just—I’m falling more and more in love with you with each passing moment. I want you and only you, forever,” she grinned like a dork, or more like a dork who was madly in love. “I’m sorry I’m really bad with words. I talk too fast and then my face goes red and this is usually the part where people laugh at me.” At that point she was just giggling nervously, never tearing her hazel eyes off those gorgeous browns ones.
Dani moaned at the feeling on Charlie’s hands raking across her body. She waited patiently, listening to the girl beneath her. Hearing Charlie’s confession made her smile like and idiot and blink away tears. “I’m so glad to hear you say that. You are safe with me. I’ll protect you to my last breath, Char. You’re my everything/ I love every bit of who you are and I hope you never change. The world needs kind-hearted, genuine, unique people like you and I will spend every day telling you how special you are,” she leaned in and kissed Charlie, gently nuzzling her girlfriend’s cheek as she pulled away. “I wanted to make sure you were doing this with the right intentions. I never want you to regret anything with me, Chuck. I just want to always make you happy.”
She finally allowed her hands to begin pulling the pajama pants from Charlie’s hips, watching as inch after inch of toned thigh and calf came into view. Tossing the pants aside, Dani began to kiss her way up Charlie’s left leg giving it the proper attention as she moved upwards along the blonde’s inner thigh. Reaching her destination, she kissed her way back along the other leg, paying it due attention. “God, you are so fucking beautiful, Char,” she slid her way up between Charlie’s legs and placed a kiss over her girlfriend’s bellybutton smirking and looking up through hooded eyes.
